About/Contact me

westernsail.com is run by Bruce Rollerson but anyone is free to contribute. I’m off to Japan in February for a couple of years, so if anyone wants to take over the running of this blog, feel free to contact me. This page used to be about westernsail.com but Dave von Felton seems to have decided that it should be a place to make people aware that you want to be contacted. I’m cool with that, so if you want to contact me (Bruce Rollerson), you can do so by emailing me at brollerson@gmail.com- if you want to crew on an i14 for the season, see below.

    G’day Rollo,

Great to see your talents get into the printed press. If the readers of your fine website picked up the January 2009 edition of the Australian Sailing magazine, they would see a fine collection of your pics from the East Freo Sharpie Nationals.

Two other snippets prompted from AS magazine. JS aka Wogboy was spotted with some ‘new’ windsurfing technology on the Swan River to rekindle some old windsurfing talents – maybe we will see him in the 2010 Ledge to Lancelin Sailboard Classic !

Also read with interest the move by Busso sharpie Legend Kim ‘Nissy’ Nisbett, into the sports boat fleet. Is this where all ‘wise’ sharpie sailors go ?

With just 18 boats at the Sharpie Nationals in NSW I wonder what the future holds for the Sharpie ?

Have fun in Japan. What will you sail there- Tasar Worlds coming up ;-)

    Cheers

PS Filler UP is still active and draws great attention in the North West WA – Exmouth on Feb 28.

  4. Matt Jahn says:

    Hi Jason,

If you would like to know 49ers for sail feel free to contact me at mattjahn@hotmail.com and I can help you out or come down to MBSC on a Sunday afternoon and any of the 49er sailors will be able to help you out.

    Accomodation – 14 Sydney Worlds

A few of us younger blokes from Vic are staying in Manly backpackers – you can book doorms for 2,4 or 6 i think.
Worked out at around $32 a night which is a hell of a lot cheaper than anywhere else around there. Also is within walking distance. Having said all that the joint is probably a hole.

  6. Fabio says:

I stayed there last summer. Full of German English and Swedish travellers. Mostly WOMEN!!!

  7. Ben Strong says:

Well if its good enough for the most beautiful man in the cosmos then im sure it will be sufficient for the 14 cretins.
